What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, web beacons and device identifiers. On this page, “cookies” covers all of them.
Cookies we set ourselves
None. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or tracking tools.
The speed test uses your browser’s local storage, which is not sent to us:
| Key | Purpose | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
speedtest.results.v1 | Your last 60 test results, shown on the My results page | You clear your browsing data |
Cookies set by Google for advertising
Ads on this site are provided by Google. Google and its partners may set or read the following cookies to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure performance, detect fraud and, where you allow it, personalise ads:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads | Google (on this site) | Ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement | Up to 13 months |
__gpi | Google (on this site) | Ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement | Up to 13 months |
__eoi | Google (on this site) | Security and fraud prevention for ads | Up to 6 months |
IDE | Google (doubleclick.net) | Personalised advertising, where permitted | Up to 13 months (EEA/UK), 24 months elsewhere |
test_cookie | Google (doubleclick.net) | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies | 15 minutes |
FCCDCF | Google consent tool (EEA, UK, Switzerland) | Stores your consent choices | Up to 13 months |
FCNEC | Google consent tool (EEA, UK, Switzerland) | Supports the consent message | Up to 1 year |
Google may also use web beacons and your IP address for the same purposes. Google explains its cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and how it uses information from partner sites at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your choices
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message from Google’s certified consent management platform asks for your choice before advertising cookies are used. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of every page.
Everywhere, you can turn off personalised Google ads at My Ad Center, and opt out of other vendors at optout.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. The speed test keeps working either way; clearing site data also clears your saved results.
Changes and contact
If the cookies used on the site change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions go to support@regulad.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
